Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:

Research assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • Modeling and simulation of innovative powertrain concepts in the context of sustainable mobility (optionally hydrogen-based or battery-electric drives)
  • Development and implementation of novel modeling approaches (either further development of hydrogen combustion models or multi-physics approaches for electrochemistry and heat transfer in the context of battery-electric applications)
  • Support for experimental validation of simulation results
  • Further development and conduction of courses as well as supervision of theses

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree in engineering sciences (Diplom, Master or equivalent)
  • knowledge of 3D-CFD simulation
  • familiarity with thermodynamic or electrochemical systems
  • the ability to teach in German and/or English is a prerequisite; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case

Desirable:

  • knowledge in the areas of vehicle powertrains, combustion processes, or batteries
