Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Your responsibility:

Research as part of a project on the cryptanalysis of post-quantum cryptographic schemes, such as Kyber, Dilithium, and McEliece. The security of the implemented schemes will be analyzed with respect to side-channel and fault attacks. This includes examining both hardware-related and algorithmic-analytical aspects, including defensive techniques. The project also involves the technical and organizational coordination with project partners. The position offers the opportunity to pursue a PhD.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed academic degree (Master, Diplom, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Outstanding initial academic achievements (e.g., publications)
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills (the official project language is German)
  • Enthusiasm for cutting-edge research, creativity, and strong teamwork skills desirable
  • Advanced knowledge in the areas of hardware security, algorithms, and/or (post- quantum cryptography desirable
