Laboratory Manager in the field of neurocognitive research -

salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Your responsibility:

  • Setting up and providing technical support for an EEG laboratory, including equipment procurement, hardware installation, calibration and maintenance.
  • Assisting in the planning, execution, and analysis of EEG and MRI experiments in the field of neuroscience and cognitive science.
  • Programming of experimental paradigms and analysis pipelines in Python.
  • Taking on organisational tasks such as coordinating experiments, managing resources and training laboratory staff.
  • Technical support for the integration of AI approaches into neurocognitive research projects.
  • Planning and coordination of teaching activities.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplo, or equivalent) in electrical engineering, medical technology, computer science, neuroscience, or a comparable field
  • Extensive experience working with EEG and MRI technologies in a neurocognitive research context
  • Very good programming skills in Python, including experience with relevant libraries (e.g., NumPy, SciPy, MNE, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
  • Knowledge of signal processing, machine learning, or artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Good written and spoken German and/or English skills or willingness to learn the missing language
  • Organizational skills and enjoyment of working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary research team are an advantage
  • Experience in writing grant applications and participating in interdisciplinary research projects is an advantage
  • Experience in research data infrastructures and research data management is an advantage
  • Experience in coordinating and planning courses is an advantage
